API Dashboard, presented to you by API Science Inc., a Delaware Corporation ("API Dashboard," "we", "us," "our,"), provides online and mobile services, including but not limited to, the API Dashboard website ("apidashboard.io" or the "Site") widgets, computer programs, and mobile applications hosted by or on behalf of API Dashboard (collectively, the "Service") intended to provide tools for developers (the "API Dashboard Products"). This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") explains how we protect the personal information we collect in connection with your use of the Service, and how we use, and in some cases, disclose that personal information. "Personal Information" for purposes of this Policy means any information that specifically identifies you, such as your name, street address, phone number, or e-mail address. Personal Information includes information you provide to API Dashboard.

What Personal Information We Collect

Your API Dashboard Products and Services work in conjunction with a user account on apidashboard.io (a "User Account"). When using the Products or Services, API Dashboard may collect the following Personal Information:

  • When you sign up for an API Dashboard User Account, you are required to provide an e-mail address (which will be used as your login ID), and to create an account password (collectively the "Registration Information").
  • If you elect to sign up for an API Dashboard User Account using your Github credentials, you will be asked to allow Github to access information associated with your Github account (including your name, email, user ID, or other profile information).
  • In order to benefit fully from the API Dashboard Products and Service, you may also add additional detail to your User Account, including timezone and interests.
  • Information that you add to the Service is stored in your API Dashboard User Account.
  • When you elect to share data from your API Dashboard User Account with others, we collect the information you provide about those individuals including their name and e-mail address.

How We Use Your Personal Information

API Dashboard may use your Personal Information to:

  • Provide you with the API Dashboard Products and Service;
  • Analyze Site usage and improve the API Dashboard Products and Service;
  • Deliver to you any administrative notices and communications relevant to your use of the API Dashboard Products and Service;
  • Provide you with updates to the API Dashboard Products and Service;
  • Perform internal market research, project planning, troubleshooting, and to detect and protect against error, fraud, or other criminal activity; and
  • Enforce the API Dashboard Terms of Service.
  • Further improve upon and refine API Dashboard Products and Services and to create new API Dashboard Products and Services.

Disclosure to Third Parties

At your request, API Dashboard may make certain Personal Information available to third parties that work with API Dashboard to provide additional services to you. For example, if you elect to sync some of your API Dashboard Product data with a third-party application such as Github, we will share the specified data with that application. In such cases, your account with such third-party will continue to be subject to that third-party's privacy policy and your API Dashboard User Account will continue to be governed by this Policy.

We may also disclose Personal Information if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect our operations or users, or if we are required to do so by any applicable law, rule, regulation, subpoena or other legal process. Additionally, in the event of an acquisition, reorganization, merger, or sale of all or substantially all of API Dashboard capital stock or assets, you acknowledge and agree that API Dashboard may transfer any and all Personal Information that we collect to the relevant third-party. Your consent to this Policy represents your agreement to such transfer.

Use of Non-Personally Identifiable Data

API Dashboard may collect non-identifying information such as traffic volume, frequency of visits, lengths of visits, etc., or aggregated Personal Information (without the inclusion of a user's name or other identifying information) including aggregated gender, age, injury, etc. (“Non-Personally Identifiable Data”). API Dashboard may disclose Non-Personally Identifiable Data to:

  • Organizations approved by API Dashboard that conduct consumer research relevant industries;
  • Acquirers of all, or substantially all of API Dashboard capital stock or assets (via merger or otherwise).

Cookies and Other Technology

The API Dashboard Site and Service may use "cookies" and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons.

Cookies are alphanumeric identifies in the form of text files that are inserted and stored by your Web browser on your computer's hard drive. These technologies tell us which parts of our website you have visited, limit the number of times you see an API Dashboard service, or help us better determine which API Dashboard services you may like to see or to alert you to software compatibility issues. They are also used to analyze and improve our Service's design and functionality.

If you choose to delete cookies from your device or block them from being stored on your device, please note that the full functionality of the Service may not be available to you.

"Web beacons" are images embedded in a Web page or e-mail for the purpose of measuring and analyzing Site usage and activity. API Dashboard or third-party service providers acting on our behalf, may use Web beacons to help us analyze Site usage and improve the Service.

We may use third-party service providers to help us analyze certain online activities and improve our products and the Service. For example, these service providers may help us measure the performance of our online campaigns or analyze visitor activity on apidashboard.io. We may permit these service providers to use cookies and other technologies to perform these services for API Dashboard. We do not share any Personal Information about our customers with these third-party service providers, and these service providers do not collect such information on our behalf. Our third-party service providers are required to comply fully with this Policy.

Accessing Your Personal Information

You may access any personal information (as well as correct, amend, or delete inaccurate personal information so long as the expense is not disproportionate to the risk of the inaccuracy or when it would violate third party rights) that API Dashboard keeps by contacting API Dashboard as provided below.

Information You Elect to Share With Others

If you use publish to Github from API Dashboard you acknowledge and agree that API Dashboard is not responsible for this information and how it is used after you publish it.

Surveys

From time to time, API Dashboard may ask you to participate in surveys designed to help API Dashboard improve the Service. Any Personal Information provided to API Dashboard in connection with any survey will be used only in relation to that survey and as elsewhere set forth in this Policy.

Children

Unless expressly authorized in writing by a child’s parent or guardian, API Dashboard does not knowingly or intentionally collect any Personal Information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with Personal Information without the consent of his or her parent or guardian, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as commercially possible.

Data Life

You may e-mail us at support@apidashboard.io, or contact us by mail at API Science, Inc., 905 30th Ave. S., Seattle, WA, 98144, with a request that we delete your Personal Information. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request. We may retain a copy of your records as required by law or for a legitimate business purpose.

E-mail Communications From Us

We may provide our registered customers with weekly summaries of their User Account data and e-mail alerts. API Dashboard subscribers have the ability to opt-out of receiving our weekly summaries. Opting out in this manner will not end transmission of service-related e-mails, such as e-mail alerts.

Data Security

We use a combination of firewall barriers, encryption techniques and authentication procedures, among others, to maintain the security of your data and to protect API Dashboard accounts and systems from unauthorized access. Even though we have taken steps to protect your Personal Information, no company, including us, can fully eliminate security risks to your Personal Information.

When you register for the Service, API Dashboard requires a password from you for your privacy and security. This password is stored in an encrypted fashion on our systems. It is important to understand that these precautions apply only to our Site and systems.

International Transfer

API Dashboard Services are hosted and operated entirely in the United States and are subject to United States law. Any Personal Information that you provide to API Dashboard is being provided to API Dashboard solely in the United States and will be hosted on United States servers. If you are accessing the API Dashboard Services from outside the United States, please be advised that your Personal Information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States, and chose to provide information to us, API Dashboard transfers Personal Information to the United States and processes it there. Your consent to this Policy represents your agreement to that transfer.

Your Responsibility for Maintaining the Confidentiality of your Login ID and Password

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login ID and password. If you believe that your login ID or password have been compromised you should immediately change your password and contact support . We are not responsible if someone else accesses your account through registration information they have obtained from you or through a violation by you of this Policy or the API Dashboard Terms of Service. If you have a security related concern, please contact support.

Assignment

You consent and agree that the agreement between you and API Dashboard as evidenced in this Policy, any licenses herein, and any information collected about you, including any Personal Information collected pursuant to this Policy, can be sold, assigned, transferred, or otherwise conveyed to a third-party as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of all or substantially all of API Dashboard's assets or capital stock, in the event of a bankruptcy, or any other such change of control situation. Additionally, you agree that this Policy continues to bind you and guide the terms and conditions of your use of the API Dashboard Products and Service in any of the foregoing circumstances.

Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. The date last revised appears at the bottom of the Policy. Changes take effect immediately upon posting through your continued use of the Site, Services, or Products, even if not directly communicated to you.
